APA Health CARE has a few upcoming summer health fair events and we need your help! It's finally the summer so if you haven't come out to one now's a great opportunity to start!
Our volunteers provide glucose, cholesterol and BP screenings, and we also work with a team of other professional students and physicians to provide basic care and counseling to our clients. These health fairs are a lot of fun as they are usually a part of another larger event, and they definitely a great chance to practice your clinical skills. No previous health fair experience is necessary, and everyone is welcome.
1. Lotus Festival
July 10th 11am-6pm
July 11th 11am-5pm
Echo Park, Los Angeles
2. Good Samaritan Health Fair
July 17th 9am-2pm
Good Samaritan Hospital, Los Angeles
3. Fitness Awareness Day
Aug 7th 1pm-4pm
Rosemead Center
For the first two listed health fairs, we are looking for volunteers to fill either morning or afternoon shifts. If you're available for both, just let us know that too!
We will be carpooling from Weyburn to the health fairs; If you are interested, please email esther.nie@gmail.com with which fair and which shift(s) you are available and if you can drive.
